Sharks Feeding Frenzy Meet

Coach's Corner - November 2007

Now that we have competed in our first few meets of the 2007-08 Short Course season, it is very evident that the great efforts we have seen in practice are already paying off in a big way. I can’t even keep track of all of the personal best times, but I know we keep running out of ribbons!

Our swimmers have already set 14 new team records, which is truly amazing at this early stage of the season. I’m sure that the record books are going to look completely different by season’s end.

For our upcoming December championship meets, we have more than double the number of swimmers qualified for the SEVA 12 & younger meet and the PSDN Senior Shootout meet than we did last year. That is really a great indicator of the progress our team has made in just one year’s time. I know that will continue to happen as we have more and more swimmers qualify for Age Group Champs, Senior Champs, and beyond throughout the season.

With the holidays coming up, please keep in mind that continued success depends on keeping up with all of the hard work in the pool. The holiday training period is a very important time for our swimmers to continue taking steps to the next level. For everyone traveling out of town during any of the holidays, please just let the coaches know and we’ll do our best to help your swimmer keep up with his or her practices so they can continue their achievements.

Once again, the success we are enjoying in the pool wouldn’t be possible without everyone’s support of our mission to test ourselves and truly find out who we can be both in and out of the pool. THANK YOU for all of your continuing support of our team’s goals!!

Sincerely,

Stu Faux

Head Coach
